The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a nonprofit, grassroots civil rights, and advocacy organization. CAIR’s mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

OC Equity

In partnership with the community, deliver sustainable and responsive services that promote population health and equity. Support the Health Care Agency’s impact and action related to addressing health disparities to advance health equity and population health.

Weingart Foundation

The Weingart Foundation committed more than $10 million in impact investments and awarded $9.4 million in grants to organizations working on critical social issues including economic, housing, immigrant/refugee, and disability justice. Over 72% of the funds awarded provide unrestricted operating support to nonprofits that deliver direct services, advocacy, and multi-sector or multi-ethnic collaboration to address multiple issues impacting communities of color.

Immigrants Are Los Angeles

Immigrants Are LA (IRLA) is a coalition of grassroots immigrant organizations that launched a campaign in 2021 to ensure immigrants get their fair share of Los Angeles County’s portion of federal COVID relief and, eventually, become fully integrated into Los Angeles County’s budget process. Over 18 months, IRLA’s advocacy and organizing resulted in the county budgeting more than $163 million to programs that include or focus on immigrants.

Islamic Shura Council of Southern California

The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California represents the consensus of Southern California Muslims, promotes communication and service among member organizations and society-at-large, advocates on behalf of its members, and advances leadership development.

Combodian Family

The mission of The Cambodian Family is to promote social health by providing refugee and immigrant families the opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, and desires for creating health and well-being in their lives.

Islamic Center of Reseda

The purpose of Islamic Center of Reseda (ICR) is to please Allah (SWT) by carrying out religious, educational, and other community activities in conformity with the religion of Islam; to do everything necessary, suitable, and proper for the accomplishment of these objectives, within the local, State and Federal laws and practices. ICR shall strive to procure in its affairs and activities, the participation, association, and representation of Muslims of all races, national origin, linguistic or ethnic backgrounds, and Sunni Islam schools of Jurisprudence, without giving preference to any group.

Afghan Refugee School Impact (ARSI) Afghan Youth Mentoring (AYM)

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) allocated supplemental funds from the Afghanistan Supplemental Appropriations Act to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to provide support services to newly arrived youth and families from Afghanistan through the Afghan Refugee School Impact (ARSI) and the Afghan Youth Mentoring (AYM) programs. The CDSS will allocate ARSI and AYM program funding to eligible nonprofit organizations, consistent with the authority stated in the California Welfare and Institutions Code section 13276(a)(3). The CDSS’ goal for the ARSI and AYM programs is to provide community-based and client-centered support services to newly arrived Afghan youth and their families. The purpose of the ARSI and AYM programs is to support the successful integration of newcomer Afghan youth and their families.

Islamic Society Of Orange Country

The Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC) was established in 1976. ISOC is the largest Muslim community centers in the Southern California, serving more than 10,000 Muslims throughout the area. Located in Garden Grove, California, in the heart of Orange County, ISOC is within a short commute to major freeways and shopping plaza. Situated among 5.2 acres in the full-time accredited K-8 Orange Crescent School (OCS)

The Islamic Center of Yorba Linda

The Islamic Center of Yorba Linda (ICYL) community first started gathering for Ramadan in 1996 and was formally established in 2006 with a vision to help people fall in love with Allah (God). Today, ICYL serves nearly 2,000 congregants through a set of programs which merge both practical and spiritual knowledge.

American Network of Services for Afghan Refugees of Southern California

The American Network of Services for Afghan Refugees of Southern California (ANSAR of SoCal), or the “ANSAR or helpers” (were the local inhabitants of Medina who, in Islamic tradition, provided refuge to Muslims fleeing persecution from Makkah)” serve as institutional helpers for newly arrived Afghan refugees by facilitating comprehensive wrap-around services.
