- Co-founder of Afghan American Muslim Outreach (AAMO)
- Co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Greater Los Angeles Area chapter. Served as President of CAIR-LA (1996 – 2003)
- Co-founder of Afghan American Cultural Center (AACC) – Served as Vice Chair for 2 years (2018-2020)
- Co-founder and Steering Committee member of ”American Network of Services for Afghan Refugees in Southern California (ANSAR of SoCal)
- Co-founder of Amena Mobile Clinic to help unprivileged families in Afghanistan by providing healthcare, medicine, and nutrition
- Served as President and Board member of AAMO, currently serve as the President of AAMO in Los Angeles
- Served as CAIR-Nation Board member vice chair from 2013 – 2022.
