Hasina Shafizada

 

Born in 1999 in Kabul, Afghanistan, Hasina Shafizada is a resilient and dedicated individual who has overcome numerous challenges to make a meaningful impact in her community. Graduating with distinction from Makhfi Badakhshi high school in 2016, she pursued a rigorous four-year Business program at Tabish University, showcasing her commitment to personal growth.

Hasina’s professional journey unfolded through diverse roles, including five years as a cashier in a camp setting and two years at Dyncorp. Recognized for her contributions, she successfully applied for a Special Immigrant Visa, leading to her relocation to the United States with her family.

In the U.S., Hasina began as a translator, assisting Afghan women refugees for three months before moving to California. Despite challenges, she persevered, supporting her siblings and contributing to her community as an office assistant at a Youth Opportunities Center.

With a passion for aiding others, Hasina took on the role of a nurse assistant, drawing inspiration from her prior experience with Afghan refugees. Her commitment extended to volunteering for organizations like ACS Chila and Ammo Afghan American Muslim Outreach for four months.

Presently, as an AAMO Outreach Specialist and a full-timestudent at Fullerton College, Hasina continues her remarkable journey, bridginggaps and providing crucial assistance to those in need. Her biographyexemplifies tenacity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to education,community support, and personal growth—an inspiration to all privileged to knowher story.
